THE SCENT OF SPRING

ONE STEM

A new texture "Spring Morning" used here.  I ran an Instagram Action called Brannan on it to tone it a bit, then built up layers from there.  Again, the backside of a vintage photo, one stem from my garden, and the frame is vintage fabric.  Pick up this texture here: Spring Morning.

Macro Monday

Better late than never, getting my Monday post done so late in the day.

Just a tiny vinca bloom, an old mechanical drawing, and a frame made in illustrator. 

The drawing was masked away from the bloom to make it stand out a bit more. And there is something about the coming of Easter that makes me think of dots. . .

Dotted Swiss to be precise.  My mother always made me a new dress for Easter when I was small and it was always dotted swiss - have you ever worn something made from dotted swiss?  It is the itchiest clothing fabric ever! Or so it seemed to a little girl who would rather wear a sweat shirt and jeans!

The sun is out and I think Spring is finally here!  Hope you have some springtime weather, too!
